The following is a copy of the R-19-05 Consumer Letter. Vehicles affected by this bulletin will receive notification by mail to the address the vehicle is registered to.
Dear Polaris Owner,
This notice is sent to you because our records indicate you have purchased an affected vehicle.
The reason for this recall:
Polaris has determined that some 2019-2020 RANGER XP 1000 models were built with the fuel line routed incorrectly. In the event a drive belt breaks or fails during operation, an incorrectly routed fuel line could be damaged and cause a potential fuel leak, which may result in a fire.
To resolve this concern, Polaris has developed instructions to inspect the fuel line routing and route correctly if needed.
What you should do:
Please contact your local Polaris RANGER Dealer at your earliest convenience to schedule an appointment to have the bulletin completed.
DO NOT OPERATE YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL THIS SAFETY RECALL HAS BEEN COMPLETED BY YOUR POLARIS DEALER.
What your dealership will do:
To address this concern, Polaris has authorized your dealer to inspect and repair the affected fuel line if needed. This work will be performed by your dealer at no cost to you.
This notice was mailed to you according to our most current registration information. If you no longer own this vehicle, or if some of the contact information in this notice is incorrect, please contact your local Polaris Dealer to complete a transfer of ownership.
